Lisa Siemens BScPT Part A Manual Therapist CAFCI
I graduated with a B.Sc.P.T. from the University of Alberta in 1996. I grew up in Stettler, Alberta and was heavily involved in the sport of competitive swimming. While studying physiotherapy at the U of A, I had the pleasure of swimming for the Pandas for several years. As someone who has always had an active lifestyle and been involved in competitive sport from a young age, I’ve experienced the benefits of physiotherapy firsthand. And as a practicing physiotherapist for more than 25 years, I have developed the skills to help you achieve your physical goals – functional or rehabilitative.
My passion: I find inspiration in the wide variety of clients I see. From kids to seniors, casual fitness fans to elite athletes, the most important and rewarding part of my job is to help you achieve your optimal results. Every person I work with is unique, and so are their goals, needs and expectations.
My approach: I use a hands-on approach—literally!—that incorporates different strategies, including prescribed exercises, manual therapy, dry needling, acupuncture, radial shockwave therapy, and soft tissue techniques to name a few. I work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and lifestyle. I will also consult with other health professionals involved in your care. I embrace a multi-disciplinary approach because I believe there’s an important role for other health specialties, and my ultimate goal is to promote your health and wellness.
My life outside work: When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me swimming competitively, cycling, hiking and other outdoor activities with my family.
